About Us

Meet our pastors, and learn about our history, beliefs, and values.

Welcome!

Resurrected Church is a non-denominational church where people from all ages, cultures and classes can attend and feel comfortable in their worship experience. Whether you are just beginning your walk with God, or you're a committed believer continuing your journey with God, you will find a place here at Resurrected Church.
Founded on Biblical principles, our ministry is dedicated to reaching and touching everyone. With your commitment, we strive to impact and encourage our local communities, as well as spread the love of God beyond the walls of the church.

Resurrected Life Church International, had its first public worship service on September 7th 2003 at the meeting room of Holidays Inn Hotel located at 420 Murfreesboro Road, in Nashville, Tennessee. The church met with an initial membership of six people. Since then, God has been faithful and the church is experiencing a steady and remarkable growth.

Resurrected Church has been a home for thousands who come to witness miracles, signs and wonders. Others have traveled from different parts of the country and other parts of the world for deliverance prayer sessions. Resurrected has anointed and dedicated deliverance ministers who are committed to what they do and God has continuously added to our membership. Our membership is made up of brothers and sisters with different backgrounds - age, ethnicity, country, race, gender as stated in Revelation 7:9.

Whether you have been around church your entire life or this is your first peek into it, Resurrected Church has something for you. We hope you will take the next step into this community of people led by Christ to bring hope, strength and change to the world - one life at a time.

Our Beliefs

Resurrected Church embraces the following statements of truth. While the Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice, the following statements are a reflection of our fundamental teachings.

God

We believe God exists eternally and equally in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  (Matthew 28:19; Colossians 2:9)

Jesus

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead on the third day to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended into heaven and will return to earth to reign as King. (Matthew 1:22-23; Romans 1:3-4; Corinthians 15:3-4; Hebrews 4:14-15)

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He was constantly spoken of and promised by Jesus. He lives in every Christian from the moment of authentic conversion to indwell, infill, enlighten, empower, lead, guide, correct, convict, and comfort their lives. (John 14:16-18; Ephesians 5:18; Romans 8:15; Acts 1:8)

The Bible

We believe what the Bible says about itself which is that it is inspired by God. It is a collection of writings by human authors who were under the authority and guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is to be interpreted according to its context and purpose and when “rightly divided” it is the ultimate authority for our faith, our lives, and the practices of our church. (Matthew 22:29; 2 Timothy 3:15-16; Romans 15:4)

Salvation

Salvation is God’s free gift to humanity but as is the case with any gift, it must be received. The way we receive this gift is only by trusting in the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. (1 Timothy 2:5; Romans 10:9)

Generosity

We believe that tithes, offerings, and alms are God’s financial plan for the support of His work. (Malachi 3:10; Matthew 23:23; 2 Corinthians 9:6-12)

Discipline

We believe that discipline is a gift from Christ given to His church to promote its health and productivity. (Matthew 18:15-20; Proverbs 19:18)

Our Values

PEOPLE ARE OUR FOCUS
People matter to God, so they matter to us. We make no apologies for going above and beyond to reach people. We do for one what we can’t do for all. We also make available the necessary classes, group resources and qualified individuals to help each willing member achieve holistic improvement
COMMUNITY IS OUR HEART
Life change happens in relationships. We are intentional about doing life in community that connects, protects, and grows us. We are better together.
PASSION IS OUR REFLEX
Passion is our automatic response to everything we do. Passion for Jesus. Passion for people. Passion for the local church. We get loud and we will not apologize for that! We believe that church is a place to laugh and have fun.
LEADERSHIP IS OUR CALLING
Leadership is influence and we all have influence in someone’s life. God has called us to equip and empower others to fully step into the strengths that He has already placed in them. It’s an honor to lead someone to their next step.
INNOVATION IS OUR ATTITUDE
We see opportunities, not problems. We constantly put things on the chopping block and we believe the best idea wins. We aren’t afraid to do things that other people won’t try.
GENEROSITY IS OUR PRIVILEGE
We see generosity as an honor, not an obligation. We get to be generous with our time, talents, and treasures. We give God the first and best in all areas of our lives because He has given so much to us.
PRAYER IS OUR PURSUIT
Prayer connects us to God. We believe that prayer is foundational in what we do and it helps us to discern God’s will.  We pray early, we pray often, we pray fervently to ensure that God’s favor is on all endeavors both personally and corporately. We do not pray to live; we live to pray.

OUR PASTORS

Samuel Pobi

Lead Pastor
Samuel Pobi is a cultural architect and trendsetter for his generation and builder whose life is simply to help people discover purpose, grow in faith, and become everything God designed them to be. He is the Lead Pastor of Resurrected Church, a thriving, faith-driven community in the heart of Nashville/Antioch, Tennessee.

With a unique blend of spiritual insight, practical wisdom, and a passion for people, Pastor Samuel ministers with a style that is biblically grounded, culturally relevant, and deeply transformational. His teaching reflects a conviction that faith should not just be inspirational — it should be applicable, empowering people to live, love, and lead like Jesus in their everyday lives.

Pastor Samuel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry from The North Tennessee Bible Institute and Seminary, a foundation that shaped his theological depth, spiritual formation, and commitment to the integrity of Scripture. His academic training, combined with his pastoral calling, enables him to communicate the Word of God with clarity, conviction, and compassion.
Pastor Samuel carries a special grace for building what does not yet exist. Under his leadership, Resurrected Church is advancing a major vision: a 40,600 sq. ft. ministry campus, complete with a preschool for 106 children, a youth and multipurpose event center, and 10,000 sq. ft. of community-focused office space. This project is more than construction — it is a declaration of faith, a generational investment, and a blueprint for how the Church can serve its city with excellence.

Driven by a heart for leadership development, Pastor Samuel is known for raising teams, empowering volunteers, and building systems that position people to flourish. Whether preaching the Word, developing leaders, or strengthening families, he serves with humility, passion, and a conviction that God can resurrect anything — hope, dreams, families, and entire communities.

Pastor Samuel is a devoted husband, father of three daughters and servant-leader whose life declares that with faith, diligence, and obedience, ordinary people can do extraordinary things for the Kingdom of God.
